Inspired by the crown protection designed by Jean-René Parmentier in 1962 (see page ”HERITAGE”), we have named this model the “Subphotique” because it can withstand depths of 500 meters (1640 Ft), far below the ocean’s photic zone (about 200 meters/656 Ft below the ocean’s surface), and where light is entirely absent. True to the original Triton, the “Sport” dials have hand-painted lume plots.

The test and verification process has two steps : dry testing followed by underwater pressure testing.
The Triton Subphotique is equipped with a helium escape valve at the 3 o’clock position to withstand decompression stages in a pressure chamber down to 500 meters (500 m / 1640 ft / 50 Bar).
The Subphotique is fitted with an automatic movement based on a modified Soprod M100, with Geneva Stripes engraving to the rotor and bridge.
This movement is 100% Swiss made with 28,800 bph and 42 hours of power reserve. It is self-winding with a bidirectional perpetual rotor.
The Triton M100 movement is fitted with a Soprod hairspring, providing greater resistance to shocks and variations in temperature.
Centre hours, minutes and seconds. Quickset date, instant changeover. Hacking seconds for precise setting of the time.
Each Triton Subphotique is offered with a synthetic rubber strap stitched to a black rubber lining. The natural rubber offers water resistance and durability while silicon brings a touch of elegance. Each strap is fitted with a steel tang buckle marked Triton.
The Triton Subphotique is also available with a custom-designed, brushed-steel bracelet as an alternative to the rubber strap. The bracelet is perfectly integrated with the case of the watch and has been designed to provide optimum comfort. The clasp locks with a double pusher.
Our dial provides optimal time and date legibility. The creation of a dial is nothing short of a work of art and calls on many manual skills. The application of the C3 Super Luminova luminous material is done by hand.
